Dr Nandini Das
CHILD & ADOLESCENT PSYCHIATRIST

Adolescent Psychiatry, UK), FRANZCP
Dr Nandini Das did her MBBS in India, after which she moved to the UK
and did core psychiatric
training in London and East of England deanery. She completed Membership of The Royal College of
Psychiatrists (MRCPsych) in 2010. She did specialist training in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry in the
East of England Deanery with placements in Hertfordshire and Cambridgeshire, working in various
tertiary hospitals, community mental health clinics and mental health inpatient units including
inpatient eating disorder unit for adolescents. She achieved Certificate of Completion of Training
(CCT) in 2015.
After completing training, she worked as a consultant at Oxford Health Foundation NHS trust and
worked in the Neurodevelopmental team. She was involved in the assessment and management of
children with ASD, ADHD and Tourette’s.
Dr Nandini Das has over 13 years of experience working in the NHS in the United Kingdom.
She moved to Australia in 2018 and worked in Darwin as a consultant in an Adolescent inpatient
Unit. She achieved Fellowship of The Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists
(FRANZCP) in 2020.She moved to Melbourne in 2021 and joined Austin Hospital as a consultant in a
community CAMHS. Dr Nandini continues to work part-time in Austin Health.
She has special interest in assessment and management of ADHD, ASD, and Tourette’s disorders and
working with children and families with neurodevelopmental disorders
Dr Das has worked with children and young people presenting with complex mental health disorders
such as mood disorders, anxiety disorders, eating disorders and psychosis. She offers holistic care
that includes not only management with medication but also therapeutic options including working
with families and children.
Dr Das does not do medico-legal work and does not see young people where both parents are not
consenting for assessment/management.
